Honoring the Legacy of Bill Kovachevich
The Built for More Scholarship honors the extraordinary legacy of Bill Kovachevich, a loyal and beloved volunteer who dedicated years to supporting Project 2 and its graduates.
Bill made it his mission to ensure that every Project 2 attendee had a safe and welcoming ride to and from workshops. But his impact went far beyond transportation. Bill had a special way of making every person feel seen, valued, and welcomed. He took great pride in serving others, and his kindness, warmth, and genuine care left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Bill was more than a volunteer—he became a trusted friend and an important part of the Project 2 family. His presence, dedication, and heart have made a lasting impact, and he is deeply loved and remembered by the many graduates whose lives he touched.
The Built for More Scholarship carries that spirit forward by recognizing a Project 2 graduate who demonstrates the qualities Bill embodied every day:

Determination — continuing to pursue goals, even when the path is difficult.
Grit — showing courage, perseverance, and resilience in the face of challenges.

This scholarship celebrates a graduate who, like Bill, understands that how you show up for others matters. It recognizes someone who not only has the determination to build a brighter future for themselves, but also the heart to make that future brighter for those around them.
The Built for More Scholarship honors that legacy by supporting a Project 2 graduate who carries those same qualities forward.

The Kathleen Hurd Project 2 Scholarship
This scholarship has been named after Kathleen Hurd who was in our very first Project 2 class in 2020. She has been a driving force in what makes Project 2 what it is today. She graduted from the program and went on to be a mentor and friend to all of the futrure graduates inspining the whole community with her kindness, grace and leadership. We are honored to have her in the Project 2 community and our hope is many other women will follow in her footsteps.
The scholarship is designed to support individuals committed to enhancing their personal and/or professional well-being by promoting a healthier lifestyle and expanding their opportunities.
Individuals who completed the Project 2 workshop and also completed the Golden Goals Mentorship Program are eligible to apply.
Award funds may be applied toward wellness and professional related expenses such as further education, certifications, programs, equipment, or other activities that support a lifestyle rooted in health, growth and possibility, creating lasting wellness for them and their communities.
